Jewelry-Specific Selling Policies
Seller Code of Conduct requires all sellers to act fairly and honestly, provide accurate information, and not misuse the platform’s features.
Jewelry Listing & Quality Standards
- Accurate Description: All products must be sold exactly as listed and described, and must meet the Jewelry Quality Assurance Standards and FTC guidelines.
- Attribute Requirements: You must provide attributes like metal type, total metal weight, and gemstone treatment methods (e.g., heat treatment, irradiation).
- Disclosure Rules: Cultured pearls must be labeled as “Cultured.” Non-natural stones must be clearly identified as “Lab-Created,” “Simulated,” or “Synthetic.”
- Authenticity & Price: All products must be authentic and priced at $300,000 or less.
- Prohibited Items: Glass-filled gemstones and clarity-enhanced diamonds are not permitted.
Jade-Specific Considerations
For jade specifically, the following rules are critical:
- Treatment Disclosure: You must disclose any treatments, such as heat treatment, irradiation, coating, or oiling, in the product details.
- Accurate Naming: Do not use gemstone names to describe colors (e.g., “Amethyst CZ”). For jade, use accurate terms like “Green Jade” or “Jadeite” if applicable.
- Customization: Customized jade items (e.g., engraved bangles) are generally non-returnable, as they cannot be resold.
